EXIM provides financial support to Korean corporations for medium and long term projects in other countries. These projects are generally beneficial to the host country's economy, but may bring some environmental effects.
In an effort to protect the environment from various factors, including contaminants and global warming, EXIM reviews the overall environmental impact that the projects may bring, and recommends each country's proponent to adopt measures to mitigate such impact. The recommendation is followed up by monitoring to make sure that appropriate measures have indeed been adopted.
EXIM is highly concerned about environmental preservation, and will consistently make its utmost efforts to improve the environment.
