KEXIM Overseas Research Institute issued the “2010 Economic Analysis & Forecast of Developing Countries"

□ On June 4, the KEXIM Overseas Research Institute issued the “2010 Economic Analysis & Forecast of Developing Countries," a report on the economic trends and outlook of 35 developing countries actively trading with Korea.

● Countries Included in the Report (35 countries)
- Asia (12 total): Vietnam, India, Indonesia, China, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia

- The Middle East & Africa (6 total): Nigeria, Iran, Mozambique, Angola, Yemen, and Tanzania

- Europe, CIS (9 total): Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, The Ukraine, and Hungary

- Latin America (8 total): Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Dominica Republic, Bolivia, Argentina, Honduras, and Colombia


□ The report forecast that China will "maintain current fiscal policies while instabilities remain in the global economy, flexibly respond to foreign and domestic market conditions by adjusting the base rate and reducing the amount of new loans, and also strengthen China's economic structure by boosting domestic consumption and fostering new growth industries."

○ With regard to Russian economy, it forecast that "International oil prices, one of the most important variables in the international economy, will be maintained at 2009 year-end prices so Russia is expected to record steady growth rates of 1%-3%."

○ In Brazil, "domestic demand and investment are expected to increase as the government maintains expansionary fiscal policies and international events such as the 2014 World Cups and the 2016 Olympics attract investment."

□ The report includes information on the credit ratings of 165 countries, international market evaluations, economic outlook for 2010, and the assessment of political and economic trends of 35 developing countries and 4 regions (Asia, the Middle East/Africa, Europe/CIS, and Latin America.
