Korea Eximbank donates cars for 12 multicultural family support centers nationwide.

□ The Export-Import Bank of Korea (www.koreaexim.go.kr, Chairman Bang Moon-kyu, "Korea Eximbank") announced that it donated 12 cars (worth 300 million won) to 12 multicultural family support centers nationwide through Community Chest of Korea ("CCK") on October 28th.

 

□ Chairman Bang Moon-kyu delivered five vans and seven compact cars to the Guro-gu Multicultural Family Support Center Head Jeong Jong-woon who attended the sponsorship event on behalf of all the other institutions in the presence of CCK Secretary-General Kim Sang-kyun.

 

□ Early on CCK has selected the 12 centers after receiving applications from many multicultural family support centers nationwide having difficulty with limited transportation means.

 

□ At the event, Chairman Bang said, "Korea Eximbank, an international economic cooperation agency, is consistently supporting the soft landing of new multicultural members to society," adding, "We hope that more multicultural families will receive welfare benefits through the cars we delivered today."

 

□ Korea Eximbank has donated vehicles worth 1.91 billion won to 99 institutions nationwide since 2011, including those deliverd during this sponsorship event.

 

□ Entrusted with the government’s ODA program or the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), Korea Eximbank has been giving keen attention and effort to support multicultural families in Korea for many years

* Economic Development Cooperation Fund: EDCF : Korea Eximbank has been entrusted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance to operate and manage the economic aid fund for developing countries since 1987. It provides long-term low-interest loans to support industrial development and economic stability in developing countries, and promotes economic exchanges between developing countries and Korea.
