MDB (Multilateral Development Bank) Guarantee Program

• With MDB guarantee, KEXIM can provide the loans and/or L/C confirmation to foreign bank in high-risk, less developed countries where Korean exporters face non-payment risk.
• As of now, ADB (Asian Development Bank), IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) guarantee programs are available in countries such as Mongolia, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Bolivia, etc.

1. Exporter - Sales contract and shipment → Importer
2. MDB - Guarantee application → Foreign Bank
3. MDB - Guarantee(Stand by LC) → KEXIM
4. KEXIM - Direct Payment → Exporter / KEXIM - Loan with MDB Guarantee → Foreign Bank / Foreign Bank - Sub-loan → Importer
