KEXIM Eco-ship Fund

Korea Eximbank's Eco-ship Fund is raised jointly by Korean/Foreign institutional investors and Korea Eximbank with an aim to provide financing in the form of subordinated loans or equity investments to Korean/Foreign Shipowner for their purchase of vessels.

Note however that for Foreign Shipowners, the Fund can be extended only when they award their orders to Korean shipyards.

Shipowners can secure the vessels they need by only injecting relatively a small amount of their equity, allowing them to order ships in a timely manner.

Terms & Conditions : Export Facilitation Loan
	Description
Applicant	Korean Shipowners or Foreign Shipowners purchasing vessels from Korean shipyards
Purpose	(Korean Shipowners) Funding for purchase of new or secondhand vessels as well as refinancing (Foreign Shipowners) Funding for purchasing new vessels from Korean shipyards.
Coverage	Within the funds required for purchase of vessels, total amount of Eco-ship Fund shall be determined by the possibility of full recovery, etc.
Fund Period	Determined by the overall stability of projects such as vessel's operating period etc.
