Mr. Sung-soo Eun is the 20th Chairman & President of the Export-Import

Prior to joining Korea Eximbank, he was Chief Executive Officer of the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), where he led KIC’s efforts to increase sovereign wealth to Assets Under Management (AUM) of USD 122 billion in June 2017 from USD 91.8 billion in 2015 amid political and economic volatilities. In addition, he contributed to unlocking the potential of socially responsible investment in Korea by introducing an Environment, Social and Governance integrated fund and adopting the Korean version of Stewardship Code.

Under his strong leadership, Korea’s credit rating reached its then-highest grade ever.

Mr. Eun obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Seoul National University in 1984 and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii
