EDCF/IKCF

About IKCF

Major funding sources for IKCF include contributions from the Korean government, loans from the Public Capital Management Fund, and reserves and financial returns on IKCF’s investment portfolio.

The cumulative amount funded for IKCF since its establishment stood at KRW 12,794.9 billion as of the end of 2015. Of the amount, 37.5% (KRW 4,801.3 billion) came from government contributions, 53.1% (KRW 6,794.3 billion) from the Public Capital Management Fund, and 9.4% (KRW 1,199.3 billion) from financial returns, etc.

Of the total amount funded so far, KRW 6,147.4 billion was disbursed as grants (KRW 3,162.7 billion) and loans (KRW 2,984.7 billion). KRW 4,494.8 billion and KRW 1,394.1 billion were mainly used for the repayment of principal and interest to the Public Capital Management Fund. As of the end of 2015, IKCF reserves, including deposits and short and long-term financial investments, amounted to KRW 724.2 billion.
